On today's episode, Adam interviews Sarah Smarsh, journalist and author of the New York Times best selling memoir Heartland: A Memoir of Working Hard and Being Broke in the Richest Country on Earth.

They discuss today's political climate, the struggle of lower class farmers, the effect the news and classism have society, and the similarities and differences between poverty in urban and rural areas. She also explains what led to her breaking free from the cycle of poverty and struggle in own family.
